  • ART & HISTORY

    Concert Artists Guild: Annual Competition(The Concert Artists Guild International Competition is opens to instrumentalists, singers and chamber ensembles performing classical and non-traditional repertoire. Solo percussionists, accordionists, organists and two piano duos are not eligible. Prizes include: Victor and Sono Elmaleh Award of $5,000; New York Debut Recital at Weill Hall at Carnegie Hall; Management Contract with Concert Artists Guild; Commissioning Opportunities.)

          

  • CORPORATIONS

    BMW 6-Months Internship Program allows domestic or international students who are currently enrolled in a Bachelor or Master Degree program to gain work experience. The program is designed to complement theoretical studies and support professional development by providing real hands-on experience of working as part of a dynamic team in the desired field.

    Harper General Contractors Co-Ops & Internships provide opportunities for real-life experiences that can be applied in the classroom, as well as to help students gain better ideas on what they would like to focus on following graduation, and what to look for in an employer.

    IBM Discover Blue Internship Programfor top business and technical undergraduates focused on technology affinity.  The program is usually a 12 week program, and open to both domestic and international students.

    Savannah River Nuclear Solutions SRN Cooperative Education Programprovides opportunities for students attending four-year universities to alternate semesters of academic study with semesters of paid, career-related, learning experiences. The goal of the cooperative education program is to help bridge the gap between academic study and its application in professional practice.

  • EDUCATION

    Teach: Make A Difference,Supports Educators and inspiring Educators, from scholarships to grants. 

    Walton-UNCF K-12 Education Fellowship is a paid summer internship program that exposes fellows to professional careers at leading K-12 education organizations and schools focused on education reform. 

  • ENGLISH/LANGUAGE

    University of North Carolina at Greensboro:  The Robert Watson Literary Prizes for Fiction and Poetry from Greensboro Review journal offers a way for students to become published writers in the The Greensboro Review while receiving a substantial award. Entries must be unpublished, no more than 7,500 words or 25 typed double-space pages for fiction. Each story counts as one entry, and poetry entries can include any number of poems up to 10 pages.

  • FEDERAL

    Cyber Student Intern Program is a 10 week program designed to give current students, undergraduate and graduate, an opportunity to work alongside cyber leaders with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

    Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Honors Internship Programis a 10-week, paid internship for college undergraduate and graduate students. While exploring exciting career options, students work side-by-side with FBI employees in the Washington, D.C.-area Headquarters or in Field Offices around the country. Open to a wide range of academic areas, this internship offers experiences students can’t find elsewhere.

  • INTERNATIONAL FELLOWSHIPS

    Cultural Vistas Fellowshipprovides up to 15 U.S. university students the opportunity to enrich their academic learning through professional internships and immersion experiences in Argentina, Germany, or India. The fellowship includes a 6-week virtual seminar and an 8-week internship abroad. The fellowship award covers the cost of travel, housing, and emergency medical insurance. Strong preference will be given to students historically underrepresented in international exchange.

    German Academic Exchange Service(DAAD) Many scholarships and grants for all academic disciplines for study, research in Germany, and for intensive German language programs.

  • LIBRARY SCIENCES

    The Getty Foundation, The J. Paul Trust Support for museum and library research at the Getty Institute of Education and Professional Development Grants, offers pre-doctoral grants, internships, and scholar residencies for scholars of all nationalities in the humanities, arts, and social sciences.

    The Library of Congressoffers a gateway to various research and scholarships for undergraduates in all disciplines.  

  • MEDICINE

    Johns Hopkins School of Medicine Summer Internship/Research Program gives undergraduates of diverse backgrounds who have completed one or more years of college the opportunity to conduct research in the biomedical and/or public health research. They also encourage scholars, to consider careers in science, medicine, and public health.  This is a 10 week program that offers a $3,000 stipend and housing. 

  • RESEARCH OPPORTUNITIES

    Emory University Summer Undergraduate Research Experienceand IRES, offers undergraduates the opportunity to conduct supervised research with a faculty mentor. Students receive training in the research methods applicable to their research plan, analyze their data and create written and oral presentations of their results.

    Ronald E. McNair Post-Baccalaureate Achievement Program through University of South Carolina helps eligible undergraduates pursue graduate degrees. The program offers expanded faculty mentoring, research experience and other academic opportunities with the goal of increasing the number of Ph.D recipients who are first generation or low-income students, and who are from underrepresented groups in graduate education.

    Yale University Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF) is an 8-week summer research program for qualified undergraduates. The program is meant to familiarize students with the kind of work they can expect to do in graduate school, provide them with insight into the many steps involved in building a career based on Ph.D level training, as well as foster a sense of confidence regarding their own abilities and potential.

  • SCIENCES

    National Radio Astronomy Observatory Undergraduate Summer Student Research Assistantship program is for undergraduate students or graduating college seniors, who are citizens, are from an accredited U.S. Undergraduate Program, or otherwise eligible to work in the United States such as graduating college seniors, some foreign undergraduate students, or projects involving pure engineering or computer programming.

  • TRAVEL FELLOWSHIPS

    Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship Programis a grant program that enables students of limited financial means to study or intern abroad. The program is open to undergraduate students who are receiving Federal Pell Grant funding at a two-year or four-year college or university to participate in study and intern abroad programs worldwide.

    The International Honor Society will aid the cost of travel and expenses of Psi Chi students, members, and faculty to present research posters or papers at a psychology related convention. 

    Fulbright U.S. Student Program, offers an English Teaching Assistant Program (ETA) that places Fulbrighters in classrooms abroad to provide assistance to the local English teachers. ETA’s help teach English language while serving as cultural ambassadors for the U.S. The age and academic level of the student varies by country, ranging from kindergarten to university level.
