Homecoming for Â鶹´«Ã½ University kicked off with the student concert.
On Nov. 11, the homecoming concert started at 10 p.m. and went on until 12:30 a.m. Sunday as students waited for Tink to arrive. Some of the talk after the concert had to do with the length of Tink’s performance.
“It was OK. I believe Tink should have done more than she did,” said Anorian Kennedy, a sophomore. Tink only performed four songs for the crowd when she hit the stage.
John Wesley McCray, freshman, said, “I was most excited about Tink because I knew more of her songs.” Tink was the last person to perform for the concert.
R&B artist Eric Bellinger was a favorite for others. He was the second performer on stage and kept the crowd going.
“The highlight of the concert for me was Eric Bellinger touching people’s hand while performing,” sophomore Kayla Johnson said.
Kennedy said she sang back to Bellinger as he sang to her.
Up-and-coming artist Dammy 864 also performed during the concert and got the crowd up for what was to come next. DJ Luke Nasty was after Eric Bellinger and he kept the crowded hyped.
In between artists leaving and performing on stage, the DJ played songs that everyone knew. “It was really hype and a good time,” McCray said.
Overall the homecoming concert received good reviews from those who attended. Many said they would attend next year’s concert.
